Assad qualified as barrister at the Bar of England and Wales after graduating at Cardiff law school. Having worked under the guidance of head of chambers, he has acquired particular experience in specialised areas of the law. He is a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn.

His areas of expertise include Criminal Law, Constitutional Law and Human Rights. He is the head of the Criminal and Human Rights section of Peeroo Chambers. He has experience in serious offences dealt with at the Assizes and Intermediate Court such as murder, terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering and other white collar crimes. He also assists his clients in enquiries and police interviews. An important part of his practice involves advising and representing private companies as well as local government authorities as he has been the legal advisor of Municipalities. Assad’s legal opinion is very often sought by the press and media.
